The Look
Bodybuilding athletes should display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. We are looking for nice full muscle bellies complimented by perfect conditioning to show off the muscularity of the athlete. These athletes should be crisp with a significant amount of muscle.
Preliminary Assessment
Officials will compare competitors as they work through mandatory poses.

Individual Presentation
Athletes will pose to the music of their choice to demonstrate their ability to control individual muscle groups, incorporate classic, mandatory, and individual stylistic poses in a manner that is appealing and entertaining.
Athletes will have 60 seconds for the routine.
Suits
All suit bottoms must be V-shaped, no thongs are permitted. Suits worn by male competitors must be plain in color with no fringe or wording.
Posing Suits worn by female competitors must be two-piece but may include a printed design with sparkle or fluorescents that are in good taste.
The Look
Classic physique athletes should display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. We are looking for nice full muscle bellies that have conditioning to show off the competitor's muscle. These athletes should generally by slightly less muscular and not as striated as bodybuilding athletes.

Suits
Competitors are required to wear posing shorts. These are different than board shorts or bodybuilding posing trunks. Competitors are required to wear the same type of cut and all shorts that are worn in competition must be black.
The Look
Women's physique athletes should display more muscular density than figure athletes. They should have clear muscle separation with slight visible striations and full muscle bellies. These athletes should not have an overly striated physique or present a graininess better suited for female bodybuilding.

Suits worn by Women’s Physique competitors for prejudging must be a two piece. Suits do not have to be solid in color. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. All suits must be in good taste.
The Look
Men's Physique athletes should display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity will be marked down.
Preliminary Assessment
Officials will compare competitors as they work through their front and back turns.
Individual Presentation
Competitors will take the stage independently and present their physique including their front and back poses. Confidence is key here along with displaying aesthetic muscularity & poised stage presence.
Athletes will have 60 seconds for the routine.
Suits
Contestants will be asked to walk in board shorts (shorts must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button, no spandex and no logos are permitted on the board shorts however a manufacturer’s logo such as Nike symbol or Billabongs are acceptable.) Competitors will enter the stage without a shirt and barefoot.
The Look
Figure athletes should display an overall balance of muscular development, which includes rounded delts, quad sweep, nice full back with the appropriate width. The judges are looking for tight glutes with separation between the hamstring and glute area and a balance between the upper and lower body. We want healthy athletic muscularity in this category. Athletes who are overly muscular or too conditioned will be scored down.
Preliminary Assessment
Officials will compare competitors against each other while performing quarter turns.
Individual Presentation
Competitors will walk to the center of the stage alone and perform 1/4 turns, face the judges, and then proceed to the side of the stage.
Suit and Jewelry
Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. All suits must be in good taste. Competitors must wear high heels. Competitors may wear jewelry.
The Look
Competitors will be judged wearing a two-piece swimsuit. One hand placed on the hip on front and side poses. Hands shall be placed on the thighs on the back pose. Hair shall be swept to the front and lats lightly flared forward to display nice shape on the back pose.
Preliminary Assessment
Officials will compare competitors against each other in half turns. (No side judging permitted, front and back only.)
Individual Presentation
Competitors will walk onto the stage solo and perform their walk. The walk consists of a walk to center stage, stop and do a front stance, then do a full turn to the back. When complete turn again and face the judges before proceeding off stage.
Suit and Jewelry
Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. All suits must be in good taste. If the suit bottoms are cut too low the athlete may be scored down. Competitors must wear high heels. Competitors may wear jewelry.
